I am also sharing a link where you can download a printable PDF of my paper petition opposing ADAP. You may collect signatures and then mail them back to me so I can present them to my MLA.
The completed signature sheets can be mailed to my MLA’s office (please note that the MLA’s office is not involved in organizing this petition):
Edmonton-Decore Constituency Office

(I am aware of the ongoing Canada Post strike, but I believe mail delivery will resume before the deadline. Canada Post is a Crown corporation and can be legislated back to work since it has a legal obligation to deliver mail. In the worst-case scenario, Canada Post can contract third-party companies to ensure mail delivery. The longest postal strike in Canadian history lasted 42 days — and every postal strike has ended.)
For any questions, you can message or email me at: darryl.learie@yahoo.com
When gathering signatures, please ensure the following information is included:
- Full name (printed)
- Full mailing address (town/city, postal code, province)
- Signature

The Petition
There is also an Online Petition
In addition to the official paper petition, there is also an online petition. Although it is not officially recognized by the Alberta Legislature, it demonstrates public support, raises awareness of the issue, and can catch the attention of media and other influential people.
By signing both petitions, you strengthen the impact of this effort — helping us be heard both online and in the halls of government.

ReplyDeleteawesome thanks Darryl, starting collecting today Oct.2
ReplyDeleteWill this be at the Rally on October 30 at the Legislative building?
ReplyDeleteYes
DeleteI don't have enough now to pay rent and bills, what is wrong with Government? are they trying to starve us. I worked 40 years and they deduct my cpp disability from my AISH which should be illegal, I paid into CPP and so have my past employers. This is ridiculous.
ReplyDeleteI only received $700 a month from the Alberta government towards the $1901. The rest of it is paid by the federal government my CPP disability Canada pension plan I paid into my whole life and that's the money. I'm getting back it shouldn't be considered income. It is my money. The DTC is my money by 2028. The Alberta government will have only paid me $500 a month as they are reducing the age payment actually they're eliminating H for the ADAP program where we will be receiving $1701 a month. The Alberta portion of that will only be 500. I have been allocated $1901 from the Alberta government in their budget yet they don't pay me that they pay me 700 where is the rest of the money going? The Alberta government needs to be audited.
ReplyDeletehttps://www.facebook.com/share/1A4j12PsLQ/?mibextid=wwXIfr this is another petition put out by the federal government to help people on disability. They are gonna stop the clawbacks they're gonna write new legislation. Everybody needs to sign this and share it. They ask for your first last name email and postal code. That's it. Please sign this and share it to everybody you know they put this out. The federal government needs to hear from every one of us all 77,000 AISH recipient. all their family all their friends every group you belong to on Facebook it doesn't matter if it's by and sell those groups have followers and they will sign maybe not all of them but even if we get half of them that's that many more people thank you
If someone could bring this petition to Chateau Louis tomorrow betw 3 & 7pm, there will be tons of us Forever Canadian canvassers. Unlikely you'd be allowed to take it inside, but you could catch us as we go inside. Would be more than happy to sign.
ReplyDeleteI support this petition to stop 🛑,ADAP. These people are not qualified to access one's medical need's or concerns. AISH, is already stressful. I didn't choose to become how I've declined medically. Leave people who already have so little alone.
ReplyDeleteIs there anyone in ponoka area collecting signatures
ReplyDeleteHi Darryl, Autism Independent Living Association is also circulating your petition. Keep up the great work. Thank you for starting this.
